Description:
Galvanized iron wire is defined as a wire that has been coated with zinc to protect it from corrosion called galvanization. The galvanization process involves applying a zinc layer to the steel wire's surface, creating a barrier that prevents oxygen and water from reaching the steel, which causes it to rust.
Characteristics:
Hot-dip galvanized iron wire is immersed in heated and melted zinc liquid. The production speed is fast, and the coating is thick but uneven. The minimum thickness allowed by the market is 45 microns, and the maximum thickness can be more than 300 microns.
During production, The GI wire becomes darker and consumes more zinc metal, which forms a penetration layer with the base metal to get good corrosion resistance. Hot-dip galvanized wire can last for decades in outdoor environments.
Galvanized iron wire has good toughness and elasticity, and the maximum zinc content can reach 300 grams/square meter. It has the characteristics of thick galvanized layer and strong corrosion resistance.
