PPGI Steel Coil Material and Application
The substrate for color coated steel coils is usually cold-rolled sheet or hot-dip galvanized sheet, which has good strength and processing performance. On the surface of the substrate, after pre-treatment, one or more layers of coating are usually applied to enhance its corrosion resistance and decorative properties. These coatings include:
Primer layer: used to enhance the adhesion between substrate and coating, providing a certain degree of protective function.
Top coat: usually a brightly colored and decorative colored coating that can be chosen according to customer needs.
Protective film: Some color coated steel coils will also be covered with a layer of protective film on the surface to protect the coating from damage.
Other processing layers: Depending on specific requirements, they may also include anti fouling coatings, wear-resistant coatings, etc.
Color coated steel coils are widely used in fields such as construction, furniture, household appliances, and transportation, with main applications including:
Construction industry: used for the manufacturing and decoration of building components such as roofs, enclosure structures, walls, doors and windows, providing a beautiful appearance and protective performance.
Home appliance industry: Used in the manufacturing of shells and components for household appliances, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, and other products, to ensure good appearance and corrosion resistance.
Transportation: Used for exterior decoration and anti-corrosion treatment of vehicles such as cars, trains, and ships, to improve the appearance quality and service life of transportation vehicles.
Furniture manufacturing: used for surface decoration of furniture, office furniture, commercial facilities, etc., to give furniture products a beautiful appearance and anti-corrosion performance.
